• Plug the Starlink router into a power outlet and switch it on.
• Place the Linksys extender in the WiFi range of the Starlink router and plug it in.

• Let the power indicator go orange.
• Switch on your computer now and connect it to the default WiFi name of your Linksys extender.
• The default WiFi name is Linksys extender setup – xxx. Here, xxx represents the last 3 characters of the MAC address of your Linksys extender. It is mentioned on the label at the back of the extender.
• Open a web browser now.
• Enter extender.linksys.com into the address bar.
• You can also use 192.168.1.1.
• The setup wizard of the extender will show up on the computer screen.
• Read the End User License Agreement and tick the boxes on the setup wizard.

• You have to enter all these values for the 2.4 GHz and the 5 GHz band.
• Click Next after entering the details.
• You will see the Spot Finder page that will help you find a good location for the extender.
• Just in case the screen notifies you that your extender is too close or too far from the router, select Find better location and follow the on-screen instructions.
• After finding the better location, click back and create an admin password for your Linksys range extender.
• You are free to add a hint to recover the password in case you forget it.
• Click Save.
• Register your Linksys extender if it was not registered previously. Otherwise, click Skip.
• A firmware checkup will happen now.

• If a new firmware is available, proceed with the update.
• Connect your PC to the range extender’s new WiFi name.
• Once the button the labeled Next becomes blue, click on it.
• The page displaying the final settings of the Linksys extender will appear.
• Print the page so that you can refer to the customized settings in the future.
