How to Start Linksys MX5 Velop Setup?

The Linksys Velop setup will initiate with the help of the Linksys app in your phone. before that you have to connect the MX5 Velop system to your ISP network.
Connect the Velop parent node to the modem using the Ethernet cable and then connect the child nodes without using any wire or cable.
After that, turn the Velop network on and connect a phone with it. The first step is download the Linksys app in your phone.

Step 1: Download Linksys app

The first step of Linksys MX5 Velop setup is connecting your phone to the Velop. Now, download the Linksys app in your phone. To download the app in Android Smartphone, use the Play Store app or if you have iPhone then use the App Store. After installing the app, just open the app straight away.

Step 2: Setup via Bluetooth

In the app, you have to just tap on the Launch Setup button. You will be asked to turn on the Bluetooth. Select on the Turn on Bluetooth button and tap on Allow button. Turn on the Location and agree the Terms and Conditions and tap on Continue button.

Step 3: Connect More Nodes

The app will search other child nodes, if there are other nodes, you will be prompted to select the router type page, where you have to tap on the Velop Whole Home WiFi option. the node will detected and you will see blinking purple light, just tap on the Yes, its blinking purple option.

Step 4: Create Linksys Account

After connecting all the networking nodes, you will be taken to the Create Linksys Account page. Here, you have to type your Email Address and password. Tap on the Create Account button. after that, you have to adjust some of the settings.

Step 5: Adjust Velop settings

Create the WiFi name and password and once you have entered, just tap Save and Next. Now, disconnect with Velop and connect the phone again to the new changed name Velop network. Go to the phone Settings> Wi-Fi and link the phone to the MX5 device.
The setup will now complete, you have to tap on the Next to finish the setup. Now, you can also add more Velop nodes to extend the Linksys network in your home.

Step 6: Search For New Update

After completing the Linksys MX5 Velop Setup via Linksys Velop login with your phone, you should check for new updates. Go to the app and tap on More option. Select the Updates and tap on Search option to find new firmware version or update. If it is available, then tap on the Install/Update button.
