• First of all, ensure that your Linksys Velop mesh system is up and running. The node can also be added if you have completed Linksys Velop setup for the parent node. Thus, do not proceed without confirming the same.
• You should have the Linksys app installed on your mobile phone. Apart from this, be very certain that the app version you are running on your mobile phone is the latest one. You are also supposed to have a Linksys Cloud account.

Setting Up Linksys Node with Gigaclear

Follow the steps mentioned below if you want to set up an additional node with the Gigaclear fiber connection coming to your Linksys parent node:

• Connect the node you want to add to a power socket that lies in the 1 meter of your Linksys Velop router.
• Now, connect your mobile phone to the network of your Linksys router.
• Pull up the Linksys application now.
• Log in using the Linksys cloud account details.
• You will reach the app dashboard.
• Tap the Menu option now.
• The app might prompt you to create a unique password and the hint for the same.

• The app will now begin the search for your Velop additional node.
• As soon as the app finds the node, the light on the top of the node will start flashing purple
• which is a sign that it is ready for setup. Keep the mobile phone and the additional node within range.
• Wait and let the node get added to the home network.
• The top LED light on the node will now turn solid blue.
• Now, you can unplug the node and place it in a location where you want the internet access. Just be sure that the node lies within the range of the router.

This is how you can complete the Velop setup for additional node. Now, you can also manage it by accessing the Linksys Smart WiFi Setup URL. Just in case the app does not run for you during setup, complete the setup using five-button-press method. For this, place all the nodes close to each other and press the Reset button on the main node 5 times in a row. Wait for a few minutes and let the top light of the additional node become solid blue.
